(LOOKS LIKE RAIN, HERES A WEATHER REPORT I JUST COPIED)
Silverstone - Detailed Weather Report Sunday, 06 July 2008 We have forecast a rainy Sunday, and we have got one. Right now, it is wet and very windy. With gusts around 40mph in a southerly direction (across the track) we can expect some good racing today at Silverstone. The forecast for the next few hours while GP2 is on is wet with showers with a maximum of 16 degrees Celsius.
Approaching the race we can expect some tiny sunny spells but mainly overcast and rainy weather with a maximum of 14 degrees Celsius. The track can easily dry during the duration of the race, as thats known at Silverstone being an old airfield. There is a lot of standing water off the racing line so overtaking could become even more challenging than normal. This weather will require the utmost concentration of all the drivers. Who took the risk of a wet setup in qualifying?

Awesome!! No other words needed. (In relation to Mark's performance that is)
But I can't help but think that maybe some other runners could have potentially taken a risk and gone for a wet setup in their anticipation of rain?!? Mainly someone like Ferrari. There is just the possibility that they simply fudged their laps...
Mark was ADAMANT he wanted a dry race, and only said "we'll deal with it" if it does happen to rain. Does he want a dry race because the car is working well for dry, or is it because he knows surrounding runners are set for the wet, and dry is his best chance to stay in front of the realistic challengers?
Either way, I'm looking forward to this - don't know whether I want dry or wet race. Wet races rarely disappoint (in terms of action).
Mark's been on song the WHOLE weekend almost, so he deserves a quality finish, wet or dry.

Can somebody start a race thread already? Also, surely MW would prefer a wet start? Wet start = slow start for *everybody* right? Lack of TC (in wet) will hurt teams with more powerful engines more amirite? A case in point would be Kimi in Monaco.
Sure, RB/MW won't expect to match Macca/Ferrari in the wet, but the gap won't be as big IMO. Especially as there will be no dirty side because the rain will have washed the rubber away. Also, Hamilton won't want to pass MW on the outside of Turn 1 in the wet. I predict Kimi will point his car between HK & MW and make a line for the 1st apex, but I think Mark will hold p3. Lulu may try and take him at Stowe but there will be plenty of water off the racing line.
