Just quicklt checking the Batracer results and drop in here before I go and get the domestic tasks cleared away for an unimpeded race tonite.
Still feeling very good about tonite.
Here's a scenario for you: MW to get a solid start and probably better than Lamo due to superior downforce and traction, Petal alongside Lamo but unable to make it stick once the Macca duck kicks in at hi speed approaching Rettifilo. Then Lamo's inferior setup means his ultimate pace is poor compounded by trashing his tyres but manages to defend position comfortably thanks to top speed in the overtaking areas meaning he backs up field and keeps Petulance at bay for the length of the race. Something to consider?

Nice scenario Jim, but Seb' has to be the first retirement to put roughly 6 cartons in my bank

jim's got the scenario almost right.... He's just forgetting the Petulant Ones (that's right, the single waving finger has a reason) ability to drive into things he should easily avoid, and his incredible talent for crashing in a straight line Lamo would be better served by bombing the start as per Mark last race......

I predict Hamilton will be more competitive with race fuel than he was without it, in comparison to the rest of the field. His tyre wear will be reduced with less downforce, meaning that he'll be able to push them more. Hopefully Mark gets a solid start, but Lewis is going to be under the gearbox of anybody infront of him. I'm anticipating quite a strong race by Lewis tonight. Importantly, Mark needs to finish in front, or very near to the rear, of Sebastian to keep the title momentum going. Good thing Robert's a while back this time!

Well I've put $5 on there being no SC, and $5 on there being 19 or more classified runners.
Now I have to spend the next two hours preparing for the mother of all opening lap shunts.

His tyre wear will be reduced with less downforce It works the other way around But I agree, he'll be more competetive today imo. I don't think the time he put in during qually was representative. Hell, he was slowing in Q3 than Q2 by some margin.

Yep, would be good if Lammo held up Seb. Have to say though, a clean solid start by Mark, maintaining position would be great. Feeling good about the race

And as well as Lamo using his tyres harder due to lower downforce AND ignoring his much talked about tyre abuse style, he's already admitted in his post qual press comments that he found it hrad on the tyres and they were skating around. Surely under full fuel that isn't going to improve much.
Button is the Macca likely to be better on race pace early on. Lewis might be awesome late on?

Well jim you have a good plan there but for the fact that lewis is running with no f duck!! His straightline speed is down to low downforce and the bigger poke from the merc donk!! Still if mark can get away clean and hold him off early it could bring a good result

That plan for 2013 or whenever with 1600 cc turbos is pretty dumb.

That plan for 2013 or whenever with 1600 cc turbos is pretty dumb. If they can come up with the right ideas to get cars following each other more closely I am all for it. Personally I thought it would have happened last year except the FIA stuffed that by allowing DDD's onto the cars.

Is it just me or do ONE talk to Sam Michael every week? No it's not you they do seem to talk to him every week. Seems like he makes himself accessible before and after every race if you look around at the various media outlets and websites. Probably the easiest way to make your name well known if you can't produce something outstanding like a Newey or a Dernie.
